Well, SWTOR has come and gone, and while the internet debates whether or not it’s a good game, it’s now time to start thinking about the future.
And the future is just on the horizon. Arena Net’s upcoming MMO Guild Wars 2, which seems to be aimed at changing the way we play MMO’s, has been confirmed to be releasing in 2012.
And now with closed beta events occurring, Arena Net says they’ll be slowly increasing their beta activity, with Spring opening the game up to a public beta. Mike O’Brien, Arena Net’s President and Founder, posted a blog on the Guild Wars 2 website solidifying the company’s plans:
“In March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate. And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year.”
Color me excited! This is great news, I’m pumped to play this game. I’m sure you know it well by now, but Guild Wars is my favorite MMO. With this news, it’s very possible SWTOR’s days on my playlist are numbered…
We’ll let you know when the beta goes live, and be sure to give our impressions the moment we are in the game.
Are you guys looking forward to Guild Wars 2? Lets us know!
